Practice rooms with good acoustic separation that can accommodate large bands. Each room includes PA, backline, vocal mics and drum shells \ hardware. Drummers are asked to bring their own breakables (snare, cymbals and bass drum pedal), though these can be hired as a pack for an additional £5 per session (see below).

Piggyback Studios is based in Derbyshire near Burton and Swadlincote. It’s easily accessible from the A511 and within a 20 min drive from the A38\A50 crossing. Willington train station is also nearby which connects to Manchester and Burton. East Midlands Airport, A42\M42 and the M1 are also within a 20min drive.
Backline: Backline use is FREE, available to use and included in the room price. We have bass amps, bass cabs, guitar amps and guitar cabs.
Practice Room Hire:
- 7 days a week 10am-11pm: £12 per hour inc FREE backline, drum shells and vocal PA
- Discount for long sessions: Practice slots of 4 hours or longer are charged at a discounted rate of £10 per hour
- Off peak solo rehearsal (10am-6pm, 7 days a week): £8 per hour
Pack of drum breakables (x1 crash, x1 ride, hi-hats, x1 bass pedal, x1 snare and x1 hi-hat clutch): £5 per session *Note, these will be budget items*
Bookings and Cancellations:
Please book with at least 24 hours notice. We will try to accommodate for same day bookings, but can’t guarantee.
Cancellations are to be made with a minimum 24 hours notice where possible. Sessions cancelled after that will incur a late cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the session cancelled. **Please note, if it’s a no-show and you haven’t contacted us, the session will still be chargeable in full.**

Note: – ROAD ACCESS FROM ASHBY ROAD ONLY. The approach from Sunnyside in Newhall is blocked to cars.
Navigate to The Stanhope Arms on Ashby Road East (A511) near Burton Golf Club (Postcode: DE15 0PU). Head down the lane which runs down the side wall of the pub to the very bottom (about half-a-mile). Go through the gates into the old brickworks then turn immediately right through a 2nd set of gates. Follow the drive around to the left and parking is available outside the studio.
